So on rainy days = me sitting on my couch watch cover videos on YouTube. So today I was watching and wondering if there were a current artist whose entire album had been covered on YouTube. J. Cole | Nobody’s Perfect (ft. Missy Elliot)
Sept. 27 the World will definitely go Cole with the long-awaited, highly anticipated debut effort from Roc Nation’s own J. Cole. Cole World: A Sideline Story is definitely one of the must-have albums of 2011, as I have had it on rotation since I’ve received it.
This track, lifted from the LP, features a long-silent voice in hiphop, Missy Elliot, and is somewhat reminiscent of Cole’s “Best Friend” from his Friday Night Lights mixtape (featuring Elliot and the late Aaliyah). Other standouts include: “Lost Ones”, “Can’t Get Enough”, “Nothing Lasts Forever”, & “Never Told”.

Friday Jam: Party
I’ve had this song in constant rotation since it’s surfacing early this week. Wouldn’t classify this as epic, but indeed it has the whole feel-good thing going for it. Adding this as my second song on my Summer Vibe playlist (after Frank Ocean’s Novacane).
